The Trendi Switch 2 Gang RJ45 Cat 6 Ethernet Socket is designed for homeowners and office managers seeking a sleek, modern aesthetic without compromising on high-speed network performance. Featuring a sophisticated Midnight Blue finish and a minimalist screwless plate, this double-gang wall socket offers a seamless look that integrates perfectly with contemporary interiors. While it provides excellent Cat 6 connectivity for reliable data transmission, users should ensure their wall cavity is compatible with standard UK back boxes to accommodate the robust internal mounting frame.

Yes, it is backward compatible with Cat 5e, though Cat 6 is recommended to achieve the highest performance potential.
It is designed to fit into a standard UK double-gang back box.
There is a small notch on the underside of the faceplate where you can gently insert a flat-head screwdriver to pry the cover off.
While RJ45 is physically similar to RJ11, this socket is specifically designed for data networking (ethernet).
The Trendi Switch socket comes with a 5-year guarantee against manufacturing defects.
Check that the Cat 6 cable is fully seated in the RJ45 port and verify that the internal wiring matches the T568B standard.
Check that the mounting screws on the back frame are tightened fully and that no excess wiring is obstructing the back box cavity.
Ensure that the ethernet cable connected to the back of the socket is also Cat 6 or higher; using lower-rated cabling will bottleneck your performance.
Installation should be performed by a qualified individual familiar with standard ethernet wiring protocols (T568B). Ensure you have a standard-sized, compatible double back box already installed in the wall. To maintain the pristine Midnight Blue finish, avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or abrasive scouring pads. Instead, use a soft, dry, or slightly damp microfiber cloth to remove dust and fingerprints. The screwless cover is designed to be removed with a flat-head screwdriver if you ever need to access the interior mounting screws for adjustments or maintenance.
