The National Geographic Stepping Stones are designed for young children who need an engaging way to develop their balance, coordination, and overall motor skills through active play. These durable stones turn any floor or backyard into an obstacle course, fostering physical confidence in a fun, game-like environment. While the set offers excellent versatility for indoor and outdoor play, parents should note that the stones require a stable, flat surface to ensure they do not shift during more vigorous physical activity.

Yes, but they perform best on carpet or textured surfaces. Use caution on slick hardwood as they may slide.
Wipe the surface with a damp cloth and mild household soap. Dry thoroughly before stacking.
They are suitable for outdoor play, but you should bring them inside after use to prevent UV damage and dirt accumulation.
The stones are designed to nest inside one another for easy, compact storage without the need for a special bag.
The set includes 10 individual stepping stones of varying sizes.
Place a small piece of rug gripper tape or a yoga mat underneath the stone base to increase friction.
Ensure the floor surface is perfectly level and clear of debris or toys that might obstruct the base of the stone.
Setting up the stones is simple: remove them from the packaging and place them on a clear, flat surface. Ensure there is adequate clearance from sharp corners or heavy furniture. To clean the stones, simply wipe them down with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid harsh chemicals that could degrade the non-slip coating. For optimal longevity, store the stones in a dry indoor area, especially during winter months if used outdoors.
