FAQs

Can I use this in a bathroom?

No, this product is designed for internal, dry use only. High moisture environments will cause the wood to warp.

Does this pack include fixings?

The pack contains the timber pieces only. You will need to purchase appropriate nails or adhesives separately.

Can I paint over the Lemon finish?

While the finish is designed to be aesthetic, you can sand and paint the timber if you wish to change the color in the future.

How do I calculate how many packs I need?

Calculate the square footage of your wall or ceiling and divide by the coverage area of one pack of 8 pieces.

Are these boards suitable for exterior cladding?

No, this product is strictly for internal use and lacks the weatherproofing treatments required for exterior exposure.

Troubleshooting

Boards appearing bowed during installation

Ensure the boards were acclimated in the room for 48 hours and check that the mounting surface is level.

Visible gaps between planks

Use a tapping block and mallet to ensure the tongue-and-groove joints are fully seated before fastening.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Versatile design suitable for multiple styles including retro and shabby elegance
  • High-quality timber finish that adds warmth to interior spaces
  • Easy to install on both wall and ceiling surfaces
  • Consistent board quality across the pack

Cons

  • Exclusively for internal use only; not moisture-resistant for bathrooms or outdoors
  • Limited to a single finish color per pack
  • Requires proper cutting and finishing tools for professional installation

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation requires basic woodworking tools such as a saw for trimming lengths, a measuring tape, and a level to ensure straight lines. The cladding should be acclimated to the room's humidity for at least 48 hours before installation to prevent warping. Secure the boards using wood-appropriate adhesive or finish nails driven through the tongue of the board for a clean, invisible look. For maintenance, simply dust with a dry cloth or a soft vacuum attachment. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners or excess water, as these can damage the timber's surface finish.
