Yes, the X6 is waterproof up to 20 meters, making it suitable for snorkeling and shallow diving without additional housing.
The 47GB internal storage is convenient, but for long 8K sessions, it is recommended to use a fast, high-capacity microSD card.
Yes, the X6 features a modular lens design that allows users to replace scratched or damaged lens covers.
While the app supports mobile editing, 8K files are intensive; a modern, high-performance smartphone or a desktop computer is recommended for smooth editing.
The Triple AI Chip improves image stabilization, noise reduction, and frame rate stability, particularly when processing high-resolution 8K data.
The X6 maintains compatibility with most standard Insta360 ecosystem mounts and the included 114cm Invisible Selfie Stick.
Ensure the camera has adequate airflow and reduce the frame rate or resolution if ambient temperatures are extremely high.
Ensure the stick is aligned perfectly vertically with the camera's stitching line; check that the camera is mounted parallel to the stick.
Toggle Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your smartphone and ensure the camera is in pairing mode; check for firmware updates.
To begin using the X6, first ensure the battery is fully charged via the Fast Charge Case. Download the latest version of the Insta360 app to pair the device and receive firmware updates. When recording, ensure the internal 47GB storage is cleared regularly or use a high-speed compatible microSD card for expansion. Regarding care, always rinse the camera with fresh water after salt-water exposure. Inspect the replaceable lens covers periodically for scratches; if a lens is damaged, use the official removal tool to swap it with a new cover to maintain image clarity. Ensure the battery door and USB-C port cover are securely locked before exposing the camera to water.
