The Envirovent MEV (Mechanical Extract Ventilation) Range is a series of low-energy, whole-house ventilation systems designed to provide continuous ventilation to a property. These systems extract stale, moist air from "wet rooms" (such as kitchens and bathrooms) and replace it with fresh air from outside. They work by extracting air through ducting from the wet rooms and expelling it outside through a central ventilation unit, creating a negative pressure within the house which draws in fresh air through trickle vents or passive vents elsewhere in the property. The MEV range uses DC motors, making them extremely energy-efficient, consuming up to 90% less energy than traditional AC motors, and operate quietly with minimal noise and vibration. The MEV 300 model is suitable for properties and offers a wired boost switch option.
