Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the wall surface is clean, dry, smooth, and free from old wallpaper or debris. Fill any cracks or holes and sand smooth.
- Measure the wall height and add approximately 10cm for trimming at the ceiling and skirting board.
- Cut your first strip, applying wallpaper paste evenly to the back of the paper using a brush or roller.
- Allow the pasted paper to 'book' (sit) for the time recommended by the paste manufacturer (usually 5-10 minutes).
- Hang the first strip, aligning it carefully at the top and ensuring it is perfectly vertical using a spirit level.
- Butt the edges of subsequent strips together, ensuring the half drop pattern match aligns.
- Smooth out any air bubbles using a clean wallpaper brush or smoothing tool, working from the center outwards.
- Trim excess wallpaper at the ceiling and skirting board with a sharp knife.
Compatibility:
This wallpaper is compatible with most standard wallpaper pastes designed for paper-backed wallpapers. It is best suited for application on interior walls that are well-prepared and dry. Avoid use in areas of consistently high humidity or direct water contact, such as shower enclosures.
Care:
Due to its paper construction, this wallpaper is best cleaned with a dry cloth or a very lightly damp cloth for minor marks. Avoid harsh scrubbing or excessive moisture, as this can damage the print and paper.
