The Rio Shaggy Area Rug is designed for homeowners looking to inject vibrant color and plush comfort into living rooms or bedrooms through a modern geometric aesthetic. Its standout feature is the 30mm deep shaggy pile that provides a luxurious feel underfoot while maintaining durable machine-woven construction. Potential buyers should note that due to the deep pile, this rug requires regular maintenance to prevent debris from becoming trapped in the fibers.

Yes, the jute backing is generally safe for hardwood, though we recommend a rug pad to prevent slipping and protect the finish.
No, this rug should not be machine washed. Spot cleaning or professional cleaning is recommended.
Initial shedding is normal for new shaggy rugs; this will decrease significantly after the first few weeks of gentle vacuuming.
While the material is durable, the deep pile can catch pet hair. Frequent vacuuming is recommended for pet owners.
Like most textiles, prolonged exposure to harsh, direct sunlight may cause some fading over time; rotating the rug occasionally helps.
Gently fluff the rug by shaking it out or using your fingers to lift the fibers in the affected area.
Switch to a suction-only setting and avoid using a beater bar, which can damage the shaggy fibers.
Place a heavy, flat object on the corners for 24 hours or apply a non-slip rug gripper to the underside.
When first unrolling your Rio Shaggy Rug, you may notice temporary fold lines from packaging. Simply lay the rug flat and allow the fibers to relax for 24-48 hours. To ensure the rug stays in place, consider using a non-slip rug pad underneath, especially on polished flooring surfaces. For routine care, vacuum on a low-suction setting without a rotating beater bar to avoid pulling the fibers. If spills occur, blot the area immediately with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub, as this can force moisture deeper into the pile. Professional cleaning is recommended for deep stains.
