Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Clean the target surface thoroughly.
- Determine the placement and number of spike strips needed.
- For flat surfaces, use screws, nails, or a strong adhesive. Pre-drilled holes in the base strips facilitate screw mounting. For temporary installations or specific surfaces, UV-resistant cable ties can be used.
- For curved or irregular surfaces, gently bend the plastic base strip to match the contour. Ensure the spikes are positioned to cover the desired area.
- Securely attach the strips, ensuring they are firmly in place to prevent dislodgement by wind or birds.
Compatibility:
These spikes are compatible with most common outdoor surfaces including wood, concrete, metal, and plastic. They are suitable for use on balconies, ledges, window sills, roofs, gutters, fences, chimneys, signs, and air conditioning units.
Care:
Due to the durable stainless steel and weather-resistant plastic construction, minimal care is required. Periodically inspect the installed spikes to ensure they remain securely fastened. Wipe away any accumulated debris with a damp cloth if necessary. Avoid using harsh chemicals for cleaning, as a damp cloth is usually sufficient.
