You can use wood stains, wax, or oils. We recommend testing your chosen product on an inconspicuous area first to ensure you are happy with the final color.
You can trim up to 6mm from either side using a sharp, fine-toothed saw, ensuring you maintain the structural integrity of the timber lipping.
The door was supplied unfinished; ensure you have applied a suitable wood oil, wax, or stain to nourish and protect the natural oak.
Ensure that the hinge screws are tightened and that the latch plate is properly aligned with the door frame to prevent vibration.
Before installation, the door should be stored in a dry, flat environment to prevent moisture absorption. When trimming, do not exceed 6mm from any single edge to avoid cutting into the solid core structure. Always ensure that the top, bottom, and all four sides are sealed with your chosen finish to prevent moisture ingress, which is critical for protecting the veneer. Periodic dusting with a soft cloth and the occasional re-application of wax or oil will keep the wood looking vibrant for years to come. Ensure compatibility with standard internal door frames by measuring your opening height, width, and thickness before final trimming.
