FAQs
Can I put this in the microwave?
Consult the specific packaging instructions; generally, extreme heat can damage the gel or seams. Warm water immersion is the safest method.
How long should I leave it on my skin?
It is recommended to apply the pack for 15-20 minutes at a time, followed by a break to allow the skin to return to a normal temperature.
Is the gel inside toxic?
The pack contains Carbomer, Glycerol, and Water, which are standard components for gel packs. It is not for ingestion.
Can I use it on an open wound?
No, the pack should only be applied to intact skin. For open wounds, consult a medical professional for appropriate care.
How do I store the pack?
Keep it in a clean, dry place. Storing it in the freezer makes it readily available for sudden minor injuries.
Is the pack puncture-proof?
While durable, the pack can be punctured by sharp objects. Handle with care and avoid placing heavy items on top of it.
Troubleshooting
Gel pack feels too cold or stiff
Let the pack sit at room temperature for 1-2 minutes before application, or wrap it in a thin protective cloth.
Visible condensation on the surface
This is normal when moving from a freezer to a warmer environment. Simply wipe it dry with a clean towel.
Gel appears separated or lumpy
Gently knead the pack with your hands to redistribute the gel content evenly throughout the pouch.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To keep your Elly Elephant Gel Pack in optimal condition:
- Initial Setup: Inspect the pack upon arrival to ensure the seal is intact.
- Cold Therapy: Store in the freezer when not in use so it is ready for emergencies. Wrap the pack in a thin cloth or paper towel before applying it to the skin to prevent freezer burn.
- Heat Therapy: Gently warm the pack using warm water immersion. Avoid extreme heat or microwaves unless explicitly specified, as excessive heat can rupture the seams.
- Cleaning: Wipe the surface with a mild disinfectant or soapy water after each use. Do not submerge the pack in boiling water or use abrasive scrubbing brushes that could puncture the plastic shell.
