FAQs
How much foam do I need?
The 375ml can offers ample coverage, but the amount needed depends on your project's size and complexity. Estimate the volume needed, and consider having a spare can.
Can I use this foam in contact with drinking water?
No. This foam is designed for decorative applications in aquariums, terrariums, and ponds, not for drinking water systems.
How do I clean up the foam?
Uncured foam can be cleaned with a solvent like acetone. Cured foam is more difficult to remove, and physical removal is often necessary.
Is the foam safe for fish?
Yes, once the foam has fully cured for 24 hours, it is safe for fish and other aquatic animals.
What colors does the foam come in?
The Superfish Scaping Foam is available in black.
Can I paint the foam?
Yes, once the foam has fully cured, you can paint it with aquarium-safe or terrarium-safe paints to match your desired aesthetic.
Troubleshooting
Foam doesn't adhere properly.
Ensure the surfaces are clean, dry, and pre-moistened before application. Roughening smooth surfaces can improve adhesion.
Foam is still sticky after 24 hours.
Ensure the foam has not expired and that environmental conditions are appropriate for curing (temperature and humidity).
Foam expands too much.
Apply in thin layers and avoid overfilling. Multiple applications may be necessary.
