A double hutch or cage is a pet house with two levels, one on top of the other connected by a ramp or stairs. A double hutch is perfect for animal lovers with more than one little friend to care for. A double will have twice the floor space of a single hutch yet still have the same footprint; perfect if the room is at a premium. Going up and down a ramp is also an excellent exercise for your pets. It’s important to give your pets as much space as possible. The hutch is just the start; it’s a bedroom – not a house. It's important to consider protection from the wind and rain as a hutch alone cannot keep out all weathers. Our hutches are treated with an animal-safe bactericidal wood treatment, but it is important to note that this does not render them water-proof. We use an animal-safe water-based treatment, free of any volatile organic compounds. As such, we would recommend re-treating your hutch once or twice a year between seasons in order to keep bacterial growth at bay. This is a British manufactured 5ft double rabbit hutch.
