Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure the longevity of your instrument, keep the ukulele in its padded gig bag when not in use to protect it from humidity fluctuations and physical impact. Because nylon strings have an 'elastic' quality, they will stretch significantly during the first week of use; be prepared to tune the instrument before every practice session until the strings settle.
Clean the mahogany body with a soft, dry cloth to remove fingerprints and oils. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can strip the satin finish. When replacing strings, ensure you wind the excess length neatly around the post to prevent buzzing and maintain tuning stability.
