Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure maximum safety, always verify that your brake system specifically calls for a 1.00 mm thread pitch, as some vehicles utilize different pitches even within the same make.
- Preparation: Clean the mating threads on your brake components to remove debris or corrosion.
- Threading: Hand-start the nut by at least two full turns before applying any tool to prevent cross-threading.
- Tightening: Use a dedicated line wrench (flare nut wrench) to reach the manufacturer-specified torque setting.
- Maintenance: Periodically inspect these nuts during routine brake fluid flushes or tire rotations. If you notice signs of corrosion or "weeping" fluid, the nut and the associated line should be replaced immediately.
