Product Information

Full details

Designed for owners of large-breed dogs, WHIMZEES Toothbrush Dental Chews offer a fun, vegetarian solution to maintain canine oral health through daily chewing. These treats are engineered to reduce plaque and tartar buildup while freshening breath, making them ideal for dogs with sensitivities due to their gluten-free, natural formula. A key caveat to note is that these chews are intended for supplement use and should be monitored based on your dog's chewing habits to ensure proper digestion.

FAQs

Are these treats suitable for puppies?

These are primarily designed for adult dogs. Consult with your veterinarian before giving dental chews to puppies under 9 months of age.

Can I give my dog more than one per day?

It is recommended to limit consumption to one chew per day to maintain proper caloric balance.

Do these contain any meat products?

No, WHIMZEES Toothbrush chews are 100% vegetarian and contain no meat or animal by-products.

How should I store them?

Store them in a cool, dry, and ambient place, keeping the bag tightly closed.

Are these safe for dogs with grain allergies?

Yes, they are gluten-free and crafted without common grains that typically trigger sensitivities.

Why is the shape important?

The knobbly, hollow design creates resistance, allowing your dog's teeth to sink deeper into the treat for more effective cleaning.

Troubleshooting

My dog swallows the treat whole without chewing.

If your dog is a fast chewer, try holding the chew for them during the first few sessions to encourage biting and gnawing rather than gulping.

The treat caused minor digestive upset.

Reduce the frequency of the chews to every other day and monitor your dog. Always introduce new treats gradually to assess tolerance.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Significantly reduces plaque and tartar compared to standard chews
Vegetarian and free from meat-based fillers
Easy to digest for most adult dogs
Gluten-free for sensitive stomachs
Fun, knobbly texture helps clean teeth while chewing

Cons

Designed specifically for extra-large breeds; not suitable for smaller dogs
Not a replacement for professional veterinary dental cleanings
May be too hard for dogs with existing dental pain or fractured teeth
Requires supervision to prevent choking on large fragments

Setup, Compatibility & Care

These chews require no special preparation. Because they are the Extra Large variant, they are formulated specifically for dogs in the higher weight classes; ensure your dog is of an appropriate size to prevent potential choking hazards.

Storage Instructions: Keep the chews in their original packaging or a sealed container in an ambient, clean, and dry environment. Avoid storing in humid areas to prevent the chews from softening or losing their structural integrity.
