FAQs

Can I wear these earrings in the shower?

It is not recommended. Water and humidity can accelerate the tarnishing of the gold-tone finish.

How much do these earrings weigh?

Each pair weighs 32.9 grams, which is considered substantial for fashion earrings.

Are these earrings suitable for sensitive ears?

While generally safe, if you have severe nickel or metal sensitivities, please be aware these are fashion-grade plated jewelry.

How long is the drop length?

The total drop length of the earrings is 2.86 cm.

What is the best way to store them?

Store them individually in a soft jewelry pouch to prevent the gold finish from scratching against other accessories.

Troubleshooting

Earring feels loose or insecure

Check the tension of the hinge mechanism. If it feels slack, gently ensure the post is correctly aligned with the locking notch.

Surface loses shine

Use a soft, non-abrasive jewelry cloth to gently polish the surface. Avoid liquid chemical cleaners which may damage the finish.

Pros and Cons

Not recommended for sleeping or high-intensity activities

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure your Kate Spade New York earrings maintain their luster, store them in a cool, dry place, preferably in the original pouch to prevent scratching against other metals. Compatibility-wise, these huggies utilize standard post backs, making them suitable for most standard pierced ears. To care for them, avoid direct contact with perfumes, hairsprays, and lotions, as chemicals can dull the gold-tone plating. Clean gently with a soft, dry lint-free cloth after each use to remove natural oils or perspiration.
