Making a striking debut at this year’s Chelsea Plant of the Year Competition, the vibrant Geum ‘Orange Pumpkin’ is sure to impress. Its unique double blooms are ruffled into flouncy, flaming orange flowers that stand out beautifully. Unlike taller varieties, the flowers are held on shorter stems, rising above compact mounds of weed-suppressing foliage. This tidy habit makes it ideal for edging borders and container plantings, while its airy appearance suits naturalistic gardens, cottage settings, and pond margins, where it will attract beneficial pollinators. Geum ‘Orange Pumpkin’ produces an abundance of flower stems, reblooming from spring through early autumn. Cutting back old stems after the main bloom encourages even more flowers.Height and Spread: 30cm (12in)Growing Information:Plant Geums in moist, fertile, well-drained soil, enriching heavy clay or sandy soils with compost or well-rotted manure.
