Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, ensure you have a clean, flat surface for cutting your fabric. Always press your pattern pieces flat with a dry, low-heat iron if they arrive creased. To ensure compatibility with your personal measurements, perform a test fit using muslin or scrap fabric before cutting into your final material. For care, store your pattern pieces in a cool, dry place. Using a dedicated file or plastic sleeve prevents the delicate edges of the paper from fraying over time. Avoid using heavy-duty industrial markers; instead, use tailor's chalk or disappearing fabric pens to transfer pattern markings to your textile to keep your workspace clean and your fabric pristine.
