The STARESSO Portable Manual Espresso Machine (SP-200) is designed for coffee enthusiasts who demand barista-quality espresso in any environment, from office desks to remote campsites. Its core benefit lies in its manual, electricity-free operation that consistently produces rich espresso with a thick crema using either ground coffee or compatible capsules. While it provides exceptional portability and versatility, users should note that the device requires access to pre-heated hot water, as it does not possess an integrated heating element.

No, the STARESSO does not have a heating element. You must add hot water (85-95°C) to the unit.
The device is compatible with Nespresso-compatible capsules.
Once the hot water is added, the manual extraction process typically takes about 30 to 60 seconds.
It is recommended to hand wash the components with warm water to prolong the life of the seals and finish.
The water tank is marked for up to 90ml, which is ideal for a double espresso.
Check if the coffee grind is too fine or tamped too tightly, which may restrict water flow.
Ensure the water chamber and filter basket are screwed on tightly and the rubber O-rings are seated correctly.
Verify that you are using fresh coffee grounds and that the water temperature is within the recommended 85-95°C range.
Before using the device for the first time, wash all removable parts with warm soapy water to ensure a clean brewing environment. When using ground coffee, ensure it is tamped lightly to prevent clogging. Always ensure all seals are seated correctly before pressurizing to prevent leaks.
To maintain the device, disassemble it after every use and rinse the filter basket and piston area to prevent oil buildup. For long-term care, ensure the rubber gaskets remain free of debris. Avoid using abrasive sponges on the outer casing to keep the gold finish intact.
