The YouGarden Weeping Fig (Ficus benjamina) is an ideal choice for interior design enthusiasts and beginner plant owners who want an elegant, low-maintenance statement piece. It offers the key benefit of sophisticated, cascading foliage that brings instant natural texture to any room, though it does require a stable environment to prevent leaf drop. This RHS Award of Garden Merit recipient arrives as an established plant in a 12cm pot, ready to elevate your home or office aesthetic immediately.

No, Ficus benjamina is considered toxic if ingested by cats or dogs, so it is best kept in an area inaccessible to curious pets.
You generally only need to repot every 2-3 years, or when the roots become clearly visible through the drainage holes at the bottom of the pot.
It prefers bright, indirect light. Direct sunlight, especially in the afternoon, can cause leaf burn.
While it prefers natural light, it can adapt to office lighting, provided it receives sufficient light for a significant portion of the day.
As a potted indoor plant, it will maintain a manageable size, though it can grow taller over several years if repotted into larger containers.
This is often a sign of overwatering or cold drafts. Ensure the soil is drying out slightly between waterings and move the plant to a more stable temperature zone.
Ficus benjamina is sensitive to changes. It should recover once it acclimates to its new location; avoid moving it again to speed up the recovery process.
Usually caused by low humidity. Mist the leaves regularly or place the plant on a tray of pebbles and water to increase ambient moisture.
Upon arrival, remove the packaging carefully to avoid damaging the slender branches. Place the plant in its 12cm nursery pot directly into a decorative cachepot that matches your interior theme.
