Usage duration depends on your specific condition. Please consult with a healthcare professional or physical therapist for a personalized wearing schedule.
Yes, the versatile design of the Oval-8 is intended to assist with both, provided the splint is applied correctly to the specific affected joint.
Clean the splint with mild soap and warm water. Pat dry with a clean cloth.
The Oval-8 is designed for finger joints, but it may fit some thumb joints depending on your anatomy and the specific size needed.
The size may be too large. Consider using medical-grade adhesive tape or re-measuring the joint circumference.
Ensure the skin is clean and dry before application. If irritation persists, remove the splint, wash the area thoroughly, and ensure the splint is free of debris.
Check if the splint is positioned correctly over the joint. If swelling is the cause, the splint may be inappropriate for the current level of edema.
To ensure proper fit, measure the circumference of the finger joint accurately. Slide the Oval-8 splint onto the finger with the wider band closest to the palm for DIP conditions, or adjust according to the specific joint needing support. The splint is compatible with most daily activities and does not interfere with the use of touchscreens or keyboards. To care for your device, simply wash it in warm, soapy water and air dry. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners that could scratch the smooth finish, and inspect the splint periodically for any signs of cracking or deformation.
