Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the water supply to your shower is turned off.
- Unscrew the old shower hose from both the showerhead and the shower valve.
- Verify that the rubber washers are present in the new hose connectors.
- Screw the new KAV shower hose onto the showerhead by hand, ensuring a snug fit.
- Screw the other end of the hose onto the shower valve by hand.
- Tighten both connections gently with a wrench (do not overtighten).
- Turn the water supply back on and check for leaks.
Compatibility:
The KAV shower hose features a universal standard fitting, designed to be compatible with the vast majority of standard showerheads and shower valves found in most homes. The connectors are typically 1/2" IPS, a common size for shower fixtures.
Care:
- Clean the exterior of the hose regularly with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the chrome finish.
- Periodically check connections for any signs of wear or potential leaks.
- Ensure the hose is not excessively kinked or stressed by sharp bends when not in use.
