Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility Check: Before purchasing, it is crucial to determine the correct fitting type for your furniture. The legs come with either pre-drilled holes for 6mm wood screws (self-fixing) or threaded bolts in M8, M10, or M6 sizes.
- For Bolt Fittings: Measure the bolt size on your existing furniture legs. The most reliable method is to try fitting nuts onto the existing bolt. If an 8mm nut fits snugly, you need M8. If it's too small, try M10. If it's too large, you need M6. A tape measure is inaccurate for thread sizes.
- For Self-Fixing Fittings: These are designed to be attached with 6mm wood screws (not usually included). Ensure your furniture has a suitable surface and thickness for screwing.
Installation:
- Remove the old furniture legs (if applicable).
- For bolt fittings, screw the new legs directly into the existing threaded inserts.
- For self-fixing fittings, align the leg and secure it using appropriate wood screws through the pre-drilled holes.
Care Instructions:
- Clean the legs with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the Dark Oak stain.
- Periodically check fittings to ensure they remain tight and secure.
