Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This bar clamp requires no complex setup. It is ready to use out of the box. To convert it to a spreader, locate the quick-change button, press it, and slide the jaw mechanism to the opposite end of the bar.
Compatibility:
The clamp is designed for general woodworking, DIY projects, and light assembly tasks. It is compatible with most common materials such as wood, plastic, and some soft metals. Avoid using it for applications requiring extreme force or on very hard, brittle materials where excessive pressure could cause damage.
Care:
To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Cleaning: Wipe the clamp down with a damp cloth after each use to remove dust and debris. Avoid using harsh solvents or abrasive cleaners, as they can damage the plastic components and protective cushions.
- Storage: Store the clamp in a dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Ensure the jaws are clean and free from debris before storing.
- Inspection: Periodically inspect the clamp for any signs of wear or damage, particularly on the quick-release trigger and the protective cushions. Replace any damaged parts if necessary to ensure safety and performance.
