Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Turn off the water supply to the affected tap and open the tap to drain any remaining water.
- Disassembly: Unscrew the tap headgear using an adjustable wrench to access the old washer.
- Removal: Carefully pry off the old, worn washer from the jumper.
- Replacement: Seat the new 3/4-inch washer firmly into the housing, ensuring it is flat and centered.
- Reassembly: Screw the tap headgear back on, ensuring it is tightened securely but not over-torqued to avoid damaging the internal threads.
To ensure longevity, avoid excessive force when closing the tap, as this can compress the washer prematurely and lead to cracks or uneven wear over time.
