The Altura Nightvision DWR Cycling Waist Tights are designed for dedicated commuters and winter cyclists who need reliable warmth and weather protection during cold, damp rides. These tights offer an excellent balance of insulation through thermal brushed-back fabric and moisture management via a durable water repellent (DWR) coating, though they are specifically optimized for cooler conditions and may feel too warm during intense efforts on mild days.

These tights are water-repellent, not waterproof. They are perfect for light showers and road spray but will eventually soak through in heavy, sustained rain.
The Altura Nightvision waist tights are typically designed with specific anatomical shaping and waistband heights for women's comfort.
Refer to the manufacturer's size guide using your hip and waist measurements. If you are between sizes, consider your preferred fit—tighter is better for thermal efficiency, but ensure it does not restrict movement.
Avoid using harsh detergents or fabric softeners, as these can cause the pad to lose its cushioning and hygiene properties over time.
These are designed for cold outdoor conditions. They will likely be too warm for indoor training, where standard non-thermal shorts are preferred.
DWR performance can diminish over time. Wash the garment thoroughly to remove dirt and residue, then apply a technical DWR re-proofer spray according to the product instructions.
Ensure the tights are pulled up correctly so the chamois is positioned directly under your sit bones. Check that you are not wearing underwear underneath, as this causes friction and negates the benefits of the chamois.
To ensure the longevity of your tights, follow these care guidelines. Always machine wash on a cool, gentle cycle with mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners, as these can strip the DWR coating and degrade the moisture-wicking properties of the polyester fabric. Air drying is highly recommended; avoid tumble drying, as high heat can damage the pad and the elastic fibers. For the best fit, ensure the waistband sits comfortably above the hips to allow for full range of motion while pedaling. These tights are compatible with most standard cycling bibs or jerseys and are designed to be worn directly against the skin.
