A concealed cistern hides the tank behind the wall, creating a cleaner, more minimalist look in the bathroom and maximizing perceived space.

How does the dual flush system work?

The dual flush system offers two button options: one for a full flush (typically 6 liters) for solid waste, and a smaller button or half-press for a reduced flush (typically 3 liters) for liquid waste, saving water.

What is 'Universal Access' in this context?

Universal Access refers to a design that simplifies installation and maintenance, often meaning components are easily reachable or removable through standard access points within the WC unit.

What are the dimensions of the cistern?

The cistern has compact dimensions: 340mm width, 296mm height, and 142mm depth.

What material is the cistern made from?

The cistern is constructed from high-quality plastic for durability and corrosion resistance.

Is the push button included?

Yes, the cistern comes complete with a modern square-design chrome push button.

What is the warranty period for this product?

Nuie provides a 5-year guarantee on this concealed cistern.

Troubleshooting

Toilet not flushing or flushing weakly

Check the pneumatic hose connection between the button and the cistern for kinks or disconnections. Ensure the water supply to the cistern is fully open.

Cistern not refilling or refilling slowly

Verify the water inlet valve is functioning correctly and not blocked. Check for any potential obstructions in the water supply line.

Continuous running water into the bowl

Inspect the flush valve seal at the bottom of the cistern for damage or debris. Clean or replace the seal if necessary. Ensure the flush button mechanism is not stuck in the depressed position.

Leaking from cistern connections

Tighten any accessible pipe connections gently. If leaks persist, the seals or washers may need replacement. Professional assessment may be required.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: This cistern is designed for installation within a concealed WC unit. Professional installation is recommended to ensure correct plumbing connections and secure mounting. Ensure the unit is positioned according to manufacturer guidelines and local building codes. The chrome push button connects to the cistern via a flexible cable, allowing for placement on the cistern, wall, or furniture front.

Compatibility: The Nuie Pneumatic Dual Flush Universal Access Concealed Cistern is compatible with toilet pans designed for concealed cistern systems. It is often used in conjunction with furniture units or stud walls that can accommodate the concealed cistern. The 'Universal Access' design suggests broad compatibility with standard plumbing practices.

Care: Clean the chrome push button regularly with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which can damage the finish. The cistern itself, being concealed, requires minimal direct cleaning. Periodic checks of the flush mechanism and water connections should be performed as part of general bathroom maintenance, typically during any toilet servicing.
