FAQs
What is the maximum weight the magnetic tip can hold?
The magnetic tip can securely hold ferrous metal objects weighing up to 2 lbs (900g).
Will the magnet pick up non-metal items?
No, the magnet will only attract ferrous metals. It cannot pick up items made of plastic, wood, aluminum, or other non-magnetic materials.
How long is the tool when fully extended?
The tool fully extends to 560mm (approximately 22 inches).
Is the tool suitable for use in wet conditions?
Yes, the stainless steel construction and non-slip ergonomic grip are designed to perform well even in wet or oily conditions.
How do I clean the tool?
Wipe the tool clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh or abrasive cleaners to maintain the finish and functionality.
Can the magnetic tip be damaged?
The magnetic tip is durable, but it can be chipped or cracked if dropped from a significant height onto a hard surface. Keep it clear of strong impacts.
What is the minimum length of the tool?
The tool's minimum length is 145mm (approximately 5.7 inches) when fully retracted.
Troubleshooting
Tool does not extend or retract smoothly
Check the telescopic sections for any dirt or debris. Gently twist and pull/push to free the mechanism. Avoid forcing it.
Magnet does not pick up an object
Ensure the object is made of a ferrous metal. Clean the magnetic tip to remove any interfering metal filings. Ensure the object's weight does not exceed the 2 lb limit.
Magnetic tip feels weak
Ensure the magnetic tip is clean and free from obstructions. Verify the object being picked up is ferrous and within the weight limit. Extreme temperatures can temporarily affect magnet strength, but this is rare in normal use.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Excellent reach for confined spaces
- Strong magnetic hold for its size
- Durable and rust-resistant materials
- Comfortable and secure grip
- Lightweight and easy to store
Cons
- Magnetic strength limited to ferrous metals

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
This tool requires no assembly. Simply extend the telescopic shaft by gently pulling the handle section away from the magnetic tip. Twist to lock the desired length in place.
Compatibility:
The magnetic tip is designed to attract ferrous metals (iron, nickel, cobalt). It will not attract non-ferrous materials like aluminum, plastic, or wood.
Care:
- Wipe clean with a dry or slightly damp cloth after use. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
- Ensure the telescopic mechanism is free of debris for smooth operation.
- Store in a dry place to prevent corrosion, although the stainless steel construction offers excellent resistance.
- Periodically check the magnetic tip for any attached debris that might impede its function.
