FAQs

What is the estimated burn time of this candle?

The Large Mason Jar Scented Candle offers an impressive burn time of up to 80 hours.

What does the candle smell like?

It features a sweet, nutty aroma designed to evoke the scent of freshly baked treats.

How should I care for the candle wick?

Before each use, trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch (6mm) to ensure a clean and even burn.

Can I use this candle in a small space?

Yes, but be mindful that the fragrance is designed to fill larger spaces. In very small rooms, the scent might be quite strong. Consider shorter burn times if needed.

Is the mason jar reusable after the candle is finished?

Yes, the elegant glass mason jar can be cleaned and repurposed for various uses such as storage or decoration.

What are the safety precautions when using this candle?

Always place it on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from flammable materials, drafts, children, and pets. Never leave a burning candle unattended.

What is the best way to extinguish the flame?

It is recommended to use a candle snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax pool to extinguish the flame cleanly.

Troubleshooting

Candle is tunneling (wax only burns down the center)

Ensure the candle burns long enough for the melted wax pool to reach the edges of the jar on the first burn. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each subsequent burn.

Excessive smoke or flickering flame

Trim the wick to 1/4 inch. Ensure there are no drafts affecting the flame and that the wax pool is free from debris.

Fragrance is too weak

Allow the candle to burn for at least 1-2 hours to fully release the scent. Ensure the room is not excessively large or drafty, which can dissipate the fragrance quickly.

Jar is difficult to clean after use

Gently warm any remaining wax residue with a hairdryer on a low setting and carefully wipe it out with a paper towel before washing with warm, soapy water.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Provides a long-lasting scent experience with up to 80 hours of burn time.
  • The 'freshly baked treats' aroma is comforting and inviting.
  • The mason jar design is aesthetically pleasing and reusable.
  • Suitable for creating a relaxing atmosphere or as a gift.

Cons

  • The scent might be too strong for individuals sensitive to fragrances or for very small rooms.
  • As a candle, it requires open flame and vigilance, posing a fire risk if unattended.
  • Once the candle is fully burned, the jar may require cleaning to be repurposed.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure optimal performance and safety:

  1. First Use: When lighting the candle for the first time, allow it to burn until the wax melts all the way to the edge of the jar. This prevents tunneling and ensures an even burn.
  2. Wick Maintenance: Before each use, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (6mm). This helps prevent excessive smoking and ensures a cleaner burn.
  3. Placement: Always place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface away from drafts, flammable materials, children, and pets.
  4. Extinguishing: Use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax pool to extinguish the flame. Avoid blowing out the candle, as this can cause smoke and splatter.
  5. Cleaning the Jar: Once the candle has completely burned, you can clean the glass jar with warm, soapy water to remove any residue and repurpose it for storage or decor.
