FAQs

What are the main benefits of the extending frame?

The extending frame allows you to adjust the barrow's footprint. It makes it compact for transport and storage, yet provides a large carrying capacity when in use.

How does the barrow prevent my rod bag from sliding off?

The barrow features two uprights at the rear. These are specifically designed to hold buckets and bags, and their position helps to stop a rod bag from sliding off the back of the barrow.

What are the transport dimensions of the barrow?

The transport size of the Korum Progress Extenda-Barrow is approximately H29cm x W77cm x D58cm.

Is the tyre pneumatic or solid?

The product description mentions a 'hard-wearing tyre', implying a robust, likely pneumatic tyre suitable for various terrains, but specific type (e.g., pneumatic vs solid) is not detailed.

How heavy is the barrow itself?

The exact weight of the barrow is not specified in the provided information.

Are the handles padded?

Yes, the barrow comes with comfortable foam handles for improved grip and user comfort.

Troubleshooting

Barrow does not fold or extend smoothly

Ensure there is no debris obstructing the frame joints. Check that all locking pins are fully disengaged before attempting to fold or extend.

Wheel wobbles or is loose

Check that the wheel axle is properly seated and secured. Tighten any visible fixings according to the manual (if applicable).

Mudfeet sink excessively in soft ground

Ensure the mudfeet are fully deployed and making maximum contact with the ground. Distribute weight evenly on the barrow.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Extremely compact when folded for transport.
Large carrying capacity when extended.
Useful uprights for securing rod bags and accessories.
Durable construction with a robust tyre.
Stable on soft ground due to large mudfeet.

Cons

Unique folding design may take time to master initially.
Can be heavier when fully loaded.
May not be suitable for extremely narrow bank access.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: To set up, unfold the main frame and secure the extending sections. Attach the wheel and ensure it is firmly locked in place. The handles should then be attached or unfolded into their working position. The mudfeet can be adjusted for stability on uneven terrain.

Compatibility: This barrow is designed to be compatible with standard fishing luggage, buckets, and rod bags. The uprights offer versatile hanging points for various accessories.

Care: Clean the barrow after each use with fresh water to remove mud and debris. Pay attention to the wheel and frame joints to prevent build-up. Periodically check that all locking mechanisms are functioning correctly. Store in a dry place when not in use.
