FAQs

Is this compost suitable for all types of seeds and cuttings?

It is suitable for most seeds and cuttings. However, always check the specific requirements of the plant you are propagating.

How often should I water the compost?

Water regularly to keep the compost consistently moist, but avoid overwatering. Check the surface daily and water when the top layer feels dry.

Do I need to add fertilizer?

The compost contains nutrients for initial growth, but it may require supplemental feeding with a diluted liquid fertilizer as the plants grow.

How long will it take for seeds to germinate?

Germination time varies depending on the seed type. Refer to the seed packet for specific information.

Can I use this compost for established plants?

This compost is specifically designed for seeds and cuttings. It is best to use a different compost for established plants, such as a general-purpose compost or a specific blend for container plants.

How should I store the compost?

Store the compost in a cool, dry place. Once opened, reseal the bag to prevent it from drying out.

Troubleshooting

Seeds not germinating

Ensure the compost is kept consistently moist and that the temperature is suitable for the seed type. Check the seed packet for specific requirements.

Cuttings rotting

Reduce watering, ensure good air circulation, and consider using a rooting hormone to promote root growth.

Slow plant growth

Ensure adequate light and consider feeding with a diluted liquid fertilizer once the seedlings have established roots.
