Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup:
Before first use, wash the casserole pot with warm, soapy water and a soft sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
Compatibility:
This casserole pot is designed for use on stovetops. While specific compatibility with induction, gas, or electric is not detailed, it is generally compatible with most standard stovetop types. The phenolic handle is not intended for oven use.
Care Instructions:
- Recommended Cleaning: Handwash the casserole pot with warm water, mild dish soap, and a soft cloth or sponge. Avoid abrasive scrubbers or metallic scouring pads, as they can damage the non-stick surface.
- Dishwasher Use: The pot is dishwasher safe. However, frequent use of a dishwasher, especially with harsh detergents, may shorten the lifespan of the non-stick coating.
- Utensil Use: Use utensils made of wood, silicone, or nylon to protect the ceramic non-stick surface. Avoid metal utensils.
- Heat Usage: Use medium to medium-low heat for best results and to maintain the integrity of the non-stick coating. High heat is generally not necessary due to aluminum's excellent conductivity.
- Cooling: Allow the pot to cool down before washing to prevent thermal shock, which can warp the cookware.
