These legs are ideal for a variety of furniture including sofas, chairs, settees, beds, footstools...These legs are ideal for a variety of furniture including sofas, chairs, settees, beds, footstools, cabinets, tables, and bookcases. Furniture legs come with different fittings. Some have bolts which can come in 3 sizes M8 8mm, M10 10mm & M6 6mm, and others are self-fixing pre-drilled which fit to your furniture with 6mm wood screws. You will need to know the fittings you require. We can usually cater for most fittings depending on the footleg you choose. To ensure you order the correct bolt size, you will need to check the bolt size on your existing legs. You are unable to do this with a tape measure as this will not accurately allow for the thread. The only way to be sure is to try a nut on the existing legs. If you try an 8mm nut and it fits, you know its M8; if it’s too small, you require M10, and too big, you require M6. If you need any advice or help with which fittings to order, please send us a message. We can usually suggest a type of fitting that will work for your requirements.
These white B&Q Furniture Legs are designed for versatility, offering a simple way to refresh or repair a variety of furniture pieces like sofas, beds, and cabinets. They provide a stable and aesthetic upgrade, but users must correctly identify the bolt fitting size before purchasing to ensure compatibility.

FAQs
How do I know which bolt size (M6, M8, M10) I need?
The best method is to try fitting standard nuts to the existing bolt on your furniture. If an 8mm nut fits, you need M8. If it's too small, try M10. If it's too large, you need M6. A tape measure is not accurate for this.
Can these legs be used on all types of furniture?
Yes, they are designed for a wide variety, including sofas, beds, cabinets, tables, and bookcases, provided they have compatible fittings (either threaded inserts for bolts or a suitable base for self-fixing).
What is the color of these furniture legs?
The legs are white.
Are screws included for the self-fixing legs?
The product description states they are self-fixing and fit with 6mm wood screws, implying you may need to provide your own screws unless specified otherwise by the retailer.
How do I clean the furniture legs?
Clean them with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
Can I replace the legs on my sofa with these?
Yes, if your sofa has compatible threaded inserts for M6, M8, or M10 bolts, or if you are using the self-fixing option on a suitable base.
Troubleshooting
Legs do not fit securely
Double-check that you have selected the correct bolt size (M6, M8, or M10) or that the wood screws are appropriate for self-fixing types. Ensure the receiving threads in the furniture are clean and undamaged.
Wobbly furniture after attaching legs
Ensure all legs are tightened fully. Check that the furniture base is level and that all legs are making firm contact with the floor. You may need to adjust positioning or add shims if the floor is uneven.
Difficulty determining bolt size
Try fitting standard nuts (M6, M8, M10) to the existing bolt. The nut that screws on easily is the correct size. If unsure, contact customer support for advice.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Determine Fitting Type: Identify whether your furniture requires bolt-in legs or self-fixing legs.
Measure Bolt Size (if applicable): If your existing legs use bolts, try fitting nuts (M6, M8, M10) to the bolt. The nut that fits snugly indicates the correct size (e.g., an 8mm nut fits an M8 bolt). Do not use a tape measure as it is inaccurate for thread measurement.
Attach Legs: For bolt-in legs, screw them into the pre-drilled receiving thread on your furniture. For self-fixing legs, use appropriate 6mm wood screws to attach them to the furniture base.
Compatibility:
Bolt Fittings: Ensure the chosen leg's bolt size (M8, M10, M6) matches the threaded inserts in your furniture.
Wood Screws: For self-fixing legs, ensure your furniture base can accept 6mm wood screws.
Weight Load: Consider the weight of your furniture and its contents to ensure the legs provide adequate support.
