Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon receiving your garden-ready primroses, plant them as soon as possible in a location that receives partial shade. Ensure the planting site has well-draining, moisture-retentive soil. If planting in pots, choose a high-quality multipurpose compost and check the moisture level daily, as container soil dries out faster than ground soil. Keep the soil consistently moist but avoid waterlogging, which can cause root rot. No specialized pruning is required, though you may deadhead spent flowers to encourage a tidy appearance throughout the blooming season.
