Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: To install the TIMco C2 Clamp-Fix screws, ensure you have a drill or impact driver equipped with a TX40 bit. Align the screw with the timber pieces to be joined. Drive the screw slowly at first to allow the twin-cut point to engage the timber. Once engaged, increase speed to utilize the low-friction coating, which reduces insertion torque. Ensure the countersunk head sits flush with the surface, aided by the under-head ribs.
Compatibility: These screws are specifically designed for timber-to-timber applications. They are compatible with most common timber types used in construction and joinery. The required TX40 drive means compatibility is limited to tools fitted with this specific bit size.
Care: These screws feature a high-molecular polymer coating for enhanced corrosion resistance. To maintain their integrity, store them in a dry environment, away from excessive moisture. Clean any visible dirt or debris with a dry cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents, which could damage the protective coating.
