FAQs

Is the unit made of solid wood?

No, it is constructed from high-quality particleboard with a laminated walnut-effect finish.

Can I use harsh detergents to clean it?

No, you should avoid harsh chemicals as they can damage the laminate finish. Use a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth instead.

Does it come pre-assembled?

The product is delivered flat-packed and requires self-assembly.

Is this part of a set?

Yes, it is part of the Herringford range, which includes other pieces like the Herringford Small TV Unit.

Can it hold a large television?

Troubleshooting

Unit feels unstable after assembly

Check all cam locks and screws to ensure they are fully tightened and properly aligned.

Laminate surface is dull or dusty

Wipe with a slightly damp microfiber cloth followed immediately by a dry cloth to restore the finish.

Gaps appear between panels

Loosen the surrounding screws slightly, realign the panels to sit flush, and tighten evenly in a cross-pattern.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Sophisticated and timeless chevron aesthetic
Warm, inviting walnut-effect finish
Sturdy construction suitable for daily media use
Easy to clean surface material

Cons

Requires full assembly upon arrival
Particleboard is susceptible to water damage if not dried immediately
Surface may scratch if sharp objects are dragged across it

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Assembly is required, and it is highly recommended to use a flat, carpeted surface to avoid scratching the walnut-effect laminate during construction. Ensure you have the necessary tools—typically a screwdriver and mallet—ready before starting. For compatibility, ensure your TV stand width fits within the top surface dimensions. To care for the unit, dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners, as these can strip the laminate. If you spill liquid on the surface, wipe it away immediately with an absorbent cloth to prevent moisture from penetrating the particleboard core.
