While the glass is durable, hand-washing is recommended to prevent accidental chips or scratches, especially given the convenience of the self-cleaning mode.
You can achieve crispy results with little to no oil, though a light spray is often used for texture preference with certain foods like frozen fries.
You can use air fryer-safe parchment liners, but ensure they do not touch the heating element at the top of the lid.
The Fritaire can reach temperatures suitable for high-heat air frying and roasting; consult your user manual for the specific temperature range dial settings.
The bowl is made of high-quality, heat-resistant glass, but it is still glass; handle it with the same care you would use for glass bakeware to avoid impact damage.
The unit covers air frying, baking, grilling, dehydrating, and other variations of convection-based cooking to replace multiple countertop appliances.
Ensure you are not overloading the glass bowl and that the rotating basket is properly engaged on the central post.
Use warm water with a slightly higher concentration of degreasing dish soap and ensure the bowl is filled to the indicated line.
Check that the lid is perfectly aligned and locked onto the base, as the appliance has a safety shut-off mechanism if the seal is incomplete.
Setup is straightforward: place the base on a stable, heat-resistant surface and ensure the glass bowl is securely seated. Before the first use, run the self-cleaning cycle with warm soapy water to ensure the interior is ready for food. For daily care, use the self-cleaning function immediately after cooking while the residue is still warm for the best results. Always allow the glass bowl to cool down completely before washing it by hand to prevent thermal shock, and avoid using abrasive scrubbers that could scratch the glass surface. The removable grill attachment should be washed in warm, soapy water and dried thoroughly before storage.
