Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Sealey Jerry Can JC10RY is ready for use upon arrival. Ensure the pouring spout (sold separately or included depending on the package) is correctly attached to the compact neck. The spout retaining handle should be used to secure the spout when not in use.
Compatibility: The neck is designed to be compatible with standard fuel dispensing equipment, with an internal diameter of 34mm and a depth of 20mm. Always verify compatibility with your specific fuel pump or funnel before use.
Care: To maintain the can's integrity and safety:
- Cleaning: After emptying, rinse the interior with a small amount of the intended fuel and drain thoroughly. Avoid using water, as this can lead to rust. For stubborn residue, consult the fuel manufacturer's recommendations.
- Storage: Store the can upright in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and sources of ignition. Ensure the cap is tightly sealed.
- Inspection: Regularly inspect the can for any signs of damage, corrosion, or leaks. Pay attention to the seals and the integrity of the steel construction.
- Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth to remove dirt and grime. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
