Full details

The 70mai 4G Hardwire Kit UP04 is an essential upgrade for 70mai dash cam owners—such as the A510, A810, 4K Omni, and M800—who want to enable 24-hour parking surveillance and remote connectivity features. By providing a constant power supply via your vehicle's fuse box, it transforms your dash cam into a security system that sends incident alerts to your smartphone; however, professional installation is strongly recommended to ensure proper integration with your car's electrical system without voiding vehicle warranties.

FAQs

Does the UP04 kit work with all 70mai dash cams?

No, it is specifically designed for 70mai dash cams with Type-C ports, such as the A510, A810, 4K Omni, and M800.

Can I install the hardwire kit myself?

While it is possible if you have automotive electrical experience, professional installation is recommended to ensure safety and prevent vehicle electrical issues.

Does the kit come with a SIM card?

No, you must provide your own SIM card with an active data plan to enable the 4G remote features.

What happens if my car battery gets low?

The kit's built-in low voltage protection will automatically cut off power to the dash cam to ensure the vehicle retains enough charge to start.

Can I use this kit without a 4G SIM card?

Yes, you can still use the hardwire kit for 24-hour parking recording, but you will lose the ability to receive remote notifications and view live streams.

Troubleshooting

Dash cam does not enter 24H Parking Mode.

Ensure the hardware is correctly wired to both constant and switched fuses and that Parking Mode is enabled in the dash cam settings menu.

Vehicle battery drains quickly.

Verify that the low voltage protection setting in the 70mai app is configured correctly based on your vehicle's battery specifications.

4G Remote features are unavailable.

Check that the SIM card is properly inserted, activated, and has an active data plan with sufficient coverage in your area.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Enables advanced remote surveillance features
Prevents battery drain with integrated voltage cutoff
Keeps the vehicle cabin clutter-free by hiding wires
Essential for unlocking 24-hour parking mode functionality

Requires professional installation for optimal safety
Requires a separate SIM card plan for 4G connectivity
Not compatible with older non-Type-C 70mai models

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Installation involves tapping into your vehicle's constant and switched power fuses. Because this requires working with your car's interior electrical panel, we recommend professional installation to avoid accidental shorts or warranty issues. The kit is specifically designed for 70mai dash cams with Type-C power ports, including models A510, A810, 4K Omni, and M800. For maintenance, periodically check the app to ensure the 4G connection is stable and the dash cam is recording in parking mode. Always ensure your SIM card has an active data plan if you require the remote features.
