Setup, Compatibility & Care
When sewing this fabric, use a stretch-specific needle (such as a ballpoint or stretch needle) to avoid damaging the knit structure. Because of the sequins, it is best to use a walking foot or reduce presser foot pressure to allow the material to feed evenly. When cutting, ensure you are cutting from the reverse side to avoid dulling your fabric shears on the sequins.
Care instructions are vital for longevity:
- Hand Wash Only: Submerge in cool water with mild detergent; avoid soaking for extended periods.
- No Wringing: Gently squeeze excess water and lay flat to dry in a shaded area.
- Ironing: Avoid direct heat on the sequins. Use a low-heat setting on the reverse side only, ideally with a pressing cloth.
