The Mr Hobby PS-266 Procon Boy FWA Double Action 0.5 Airbrush is designed for hobbyists and professionals who need to spray larger areas, metal colors, or surfacers with stable control. Its key benefit is the ability to maintain consistent spraying even at low pressures, combined with a large, easy-to-clean 15cc cup. A potential caveat for new users might be the adjustment needed for double-action control if transitioning from single-action models.

The 0.5mm nozzle is ideal for spraying larger areas and applying thicker mediums like metallic paints and surfacers, providing efficient coverage.
While it offers precise control, the 0.5mm nozzle is better suited for medium to large coverage rather than extremely fine detail work, which typically requires smaller nozzles (e.g., 0.2mm or 0.3mm).
Double action means you can control both the air flow and the paint flow independently using a single trigger. Pushing down controls air, while pulling back controls paint volume.
It works well with standard airbrush compressors, particularly those that can maintain stable, low air pressures. The included hose and adapter fit PS (thin) connections.
The direct-attached cup is easy to clean. After use, empty any remaining paint, then rinse and wipe it thoroughly with cleaner and a lint-free cloth or paper towel.
The set includes a conversion joint (1/8(S) to PS thin), a 1m PS thin air hose, an adjustment for the air cylinder, and a special wrench for valves and nozzles.
It is suitable for beginners who are looking to tackle larger projects or use various paint types. However, the double-action trigger may require some practice to master compared to single-action models.
Check for paint clogs in the nozzle or needle. Ensure paint-to-thinner ratio is correct. Clean the airbrush thoroughly. Verify stable air pressure.
Ensure the paint cup is filled and the needle is pulled back sufficiently. Check if the nozzle is blocked or if the needle is seated correctly.
Clean the trigger mechanism and surrounding area. Check for dried paint buildup. Lightly lubricate moving parts with airbrush-safe lubricant if necessary.
Ensure the paint cup is securely attached and sealed. Check the integrity of the needle seal and any O-rings within the airbrush body. Tighten components gently.
