Different wine types have different ideal serving temperatures. Generally, sparkling and light white wines are best served cold (45-50°F / 7-10°C), while fuller-bodied whites and lighter reds are best served slightly cooler than room temperature (50-55°F / 10-13°C), and full-bodied reds are best served at cool room temperature (60-65°F / 16-18°C). You may need to consult wine guides for specific varietals.
The thermometer measures the temperature of the bottle's surface, which closely approximates the internal temperature of the wine. It provides a practical indication of the wine's serving temperature.
Simply wrap the flexible thermometer band around the body of the wine bottle. Ensure it is snug and the sensor on the back is in contact with the glass.
This thermometer is designed for automatic operation and does not use replaceable batteries. It powers on when attached to a bottle and powers off when removed.
The thermometer is designed for standard wine bottles. While it may fit some other bottle shapes, its effectiveness is best guaranteed on conventional wine bottle dimensions.
The thermometer is not waterproof. It should only be wiped with a damp cloth for cleaning and should not be submerged in water.
Ensure the thermometer is properly and snugly wrapped around the wine bottle. Check that the sensor on the back is making good contact with the bottle surface. Make sure the thermometer has not accidentally turned off after being removed from a previous bottle.
Allow the thermometer a minute or two to stabilize on the bottle. Ensure there are no obstructions between the sensor and the bottle. For best results, ensure the bottle itself has been at the desired temperature for some time before applying the thermometer.
Gently remove the thermometer from the bottle. If it continues to stay on, try wiping the sensor area clean with a dry cloth. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
Setup: No setup is required. Simply unpackage the thermometer and it is ready for immediate use.
Compatibility: This thermometer is designed with a universal size and fits on almost any standard wine bottle, regardless of the type of wine it contains.
Care: To clean the thermometer, gently wipe it with a damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or submerging it in water, as this could damage the sensor. Store in a cool, dry place when not in use.
