The Knipex 19 03 130 Round Nose Pliers with Cutting Edge are professional-grade hand tools designed specifically for artisans, jewelers, and electronics technicians who require high-precision control when bending and cutting fine wires. These pliers offer exceptional durability through vanadium electric steel construction and precision-ground jaws, though users should note their compact 130 mm size is optimized for delicate, small-scale work rather than heavy-duty industrial tasks.

The cutting edges are rated for hard wire up to 1.6 mm. While they can cut some stainless steel, ensure the wire diameter does not exceed this limit to avoid damaging the induction-hardened edges.
The cutting edges are induction-hardened to approximately 60 HRC, making them durable enough for repeated use on wires within the specified diameters.
These pliers are ideal for precision electronics work, but they are not VDE-rated for high-voltage insulation. Do not use them on live electrical circuits.
The pliers weigh 72 grams, making them very lightweight for extended use.
The handles are made of a standard plastic coating; they do not contain natural rubber latex.
Apply a small drop of machine oil into the joint and work the handles back and forth to distribute the lubricant.
Inspect the cutting edge for debris or metal buildup; wipe with a clean cloth. If the edge is dull, avoid trying to cut wire exceeding the 2.2 mm specification.
These pliers require no complex setup; they are ready for use immediately out of the box. To maintain the integrity of the tool:
