Ducted installation vents cooking odours and steam directly outside your home via ducting. Recirculating installation filters the air through grease and carbon filters and releases it back into the kitchen. The ducted option is generally more effective at removing odours.

It is recommended to clean the grease filters at least once a month, or more frequently if you cook oily foods regularly. Washable filters can typically be cleaned in warm, soapy water or a dishwasher.

If you are using the recirculating mode, carbon filters typically need to be replaced every 3 to 6 months, depending on how often you cook and the intensity of your cooking. They become saturated and lose their effectiveness over time.

This Rangemaster cooker hood has an energy efficiency class of 'B'.

The maximum extraction rate is 480 cubic meters per hour (m³/h) on boost mode.

This 100cm wide hood is best suited for hobs up to 100cm in width. Ensure the hood is installed centrally above the hob for optimal performance.

The noise level ranges from 50 dB on the low speed setting to 67 dB on the high speed setting.

Check that the power cord is securely plugged into a working electrical outlet. Ensure the circuit breaker for the kitchen hasn't tripped.

Clean or replace the grease filters. If using recirculating mode, check and replace the carbon filters. Ensure there are no blockages in the ducting (if ducted).

Ensure the hood is securely mounted. Check if the filters are clean and properly seated. Very high noise levels might indicate a blockage or a fan issue – consult the manual or a technician.

Ensure the hood is powered on. If the lights still don't work, the LED bulbs may need replacing. Refer to the product manual for instructions on how to safely replace the bulbs.

Ensure you are using an appropriate speed setting for the amount of steam. For very steamy cooking, use a higher speed or the boost mode. Make sure vents are not obstructed.
