Full details
The Fox Frontier XD is a premium fishing bivvy designed for dedicated anglers who prioritize rapid deployment and maximum internal comfort in challenging weather conditions. Utilizing a unique Easy-Tension-System (ETS) boss, it delivers an exceptionally quick setup while providing a robust, high-ceiling environment. While its premium build quality and heavy-duty 20,000mm hydrostatic head fabric offer unmatched protection, its total weight of 17.2kg combined with the inner dome makes it best suited for longer sessions rather than mobile, short-notice trips.

FAQs
Can the bivvy be used without the inner dome?
Yes, the inner dome is optional and can be zipped in or out depending on whether you require extra protection from insects and condensation.
What is the total weight of the system?
The bivvy itself weighs 14.9kg, and the inner dome adds an additional 2.3kg.
Does it come with a groundsheet?
Yes, the included inner dome features a zip-in/out heavy-duty groundsheet.
How do I clean the VenTec fabric?
Clean with a soft sponge and lukewarm water. Do not use chemical detergents or high-pressure washers, as these can damage the waterproof coating.
Is there enough room for two people?
It is designed as a 1-person+ bivvy, meaning it offers vast space for one angler and gear, though it is not designed to accommodate two full-sized bedchairs.
Troubleshooting
The central ETS boss is difficult to lock
Ensure all rib sections are fully extended and no tension is caught in the fabric before attempting to engage the lock.
Condensation building up inside
Utilize the internal ventilation vents and ensure the inner dome is properly zipped in to improve airflow circulation.
Groundsheet doesn't zip properly
Check that the bivvy frame is correctly square and tensioned; uneven ground or a misaligned frame can pull the zippers out of alignment.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup is straightforward: once the frame is unpacked, expand the ribs and lock the central ETS boss until it clicks into position. Ensure the moulded keyed elbow joints are fully extended to maintain frame tension. For care, always allow the bivvy to dry completely before packing it into its carry bag to prevent mold or mildew formation on the VenTec fabric. Periodically check the pegging points and zippers to ensure they remain clear of mud and debris. The system is designed to be compatible with standard-sized bedchairs and most 1-person fishing setups.
