Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure optimal longevity and safety:
- Surface Preparation: Always use the jack on a flat, level, and solid surface. Using it on soft ground or gravel can cause instability.
- Compatibility: Verify that your vehicle's designated jacking point is at least 285 mm above the ground to ensure the head of the jack can make contact.
- Maintenance: Regularly check for oil leaks around the piston. Keep the piston shaft clean and free of grit or sand to prevent seal damage.
- Storage: Store the unit in an upright position. Keep the handle disconnected when not in use to prevent damage and optimize storage space.
- Bleeding Air: If the jack feels 'spongy' during pumping, it may have trapped air. Open the release valve, remove the oil filler plug, and pump the handle several times to purge air from the hydraulic circuit.
