Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: As an automatic watch, the Longines Spirit Pilot does not require complex setup. It begins running when activated by movement. For initial setup or after a period of not being worn, gently wind the crown several times (approximately 30-40 turns) until you feel resistance. Then, set the time and date.
Compatibility: This watch is a standalone timepiece and does not interface with other electronic devices.
Care:
- Strap Care: The brown calf leather strap should be kept dry. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, sweat, and direct sunlight, which can cause discoloration or damage. Clean gently with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Consider a leather conditioner periodically for maintenance.
- Case Care: The stainless steel case can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, use a cloth lightly dampened with water.
- Water Resistance: Refer to the specific water resistance rating for this model. Avoid submerging or exposing the watch to water beyond its rated depth, especially if the leather strap is attached.
- Servicing: Automatic watches typically require servicing by a qualified watchmaker every 5-7 years to ensure optimal performance.
