FAQs

Is the rucksack waterproof?

The base is reinforced and waterproof to protect against damp ground, and the 600 denier nylon is highly water-resistant, though it is not fully submersible.

Does it include a rain cover?

No, a separate rain cover is not included, but the fabric is designed to shed water effectively.

Can I fit a 12ft rod holdall on this?

No, the rucksack is designed for tackle and gear; rods should be carried separately in a designated holdall.

How do I clean the foil-lined compartment?

Use a damp sponge with mild, non-abrasive detergent and air dry thoroughly to prevent odors.

Is the chest strap adjustable?

Yes, the chest strap can be adjusted both horizontally and vertically to suit your body shape.

What are the dimensions?

The rucksack measures 40cm (H) x 40cm (W) x 25cm (D).

Troubleshooting

Zipper is sticking or stiff

Clear any dirt or debris from the zipper teeth and apply a light silicone-based lubricant if necessary.

Shoulder straps feel uneven

Loosen both straps completely and then re-tighten them while the rucksack is on your back to ensure equal tension on both sides.

Waterproofing seems less effective

While the base is reinforced, you can apply a standard fabric waterproofing spray to the outer shell to maintain overall water repellency.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Drennan Specialist Rucksack, clear the bag of all contents after each use, especially if it has been exposed to damp environments. Wipe down the interior and exterior with a damp cloth to remove mud or bait residue. The 600 denier fabric is water-resistant, but it is recommended to use a mild soap if a deep clean is necessary. When packing, place your heaviest items in the main compartment closer to the back panel to maintain a favorable center of gravity. Check the shoulder strap buckles and zippers periodically for debris to ensure they operate smoothly. This rucksack is fully compatible with most Drennan Specialist luggage items, allowing for a cohesive gear setup.
