FAQs
Is this ball suitable for official matches?
Yes, it is designed to meet official Size 5 specifications, making it suitable for both competitive matches and training sessions.
What is the recommended inflation pressure?
It is recommended to inflate the ball between 9 and 10 psi, though you should always check for any specific markings on the ball valve area.
Can I use this ball on artificial turf?
Yes, it can be used on artificial turf, though it may experience faster wear on the textured surface compared to natural grass.
Does the ball come inflated?
Most Reebok rugby balls are shipped deflated to prevent damage during transit. You will need a standard needle pump.
How do I clean the ball after a muddy game?
Use a soft brush and a damp cloth to remove mud. Avoid submerging the ball in water or using abrasive soaps.
Troubleshooting
The ball loses air quickly
Check the valve for debris and ensure the inflation needle is not damaged. If the issue persists, the internal bladder may have a minor puncture.
The ball feels slippery during wet conditions
Ensure the surface is wiped clean of mud and debris. While the texture is designed for grip, excess mud will compromise its effectiveness.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
To ensure optimal longevity and performance, follow these guidelines:
- Inflation: Always use a standard ball pump with a lubricated needle. Inflate the ball to the manufacturer-recommended pressure (typically 9-10 psi for a standard Size 5 rugby ball). Do not over-inflate, as this can strain the seams.
- Compatibility: This ball is compatible with standard kicking tees used in official rugby matches.
- Cleaning: Wipe the ball down with a damp cloth after use on muddy fields. Avoid harsh chemical cleaners, as these can degrade the textured surface grip.
- Storage: Store the ball in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and sharp objects to prevent rubber degradation or puncture.
