Setup, Compatibility & Care
To install, ensure that your hub studs are clean and free of debris. Thread the nuts onto the studs by hand initially to prevent cross-threading, then tighten them using a calibrated torque wrench to the manufacturer's recommended specification for your specific trailer hub model. Always tighten nuts in a star pattern to ensure even pressure distribution. For long-term care, periodically inspect the nuts for signs of wear or damage. If a nut becomes difficult to remove or shows significant corrosion, it should be replaced immediately. Keep the threads lightly lubricated if operating in high-moisture environments to prevent binding.
